Last night I had a second Becch Marten visit for this year, my 17th in total, records are kept!
Seen at 01:30 this morning in the corner beside the hedgehog house the video is not fantastic but it is certainly a Marten. Unfortunately my trail camera positioned on the hedgehog feeder wasn’t working last night or else I think I might have had more footage.
Last year most of my sighting occured around June so hopefully this latest sighting is a good omen of things to come.
I will start leaving out a bit of food, out of reach of the hedgehogs, to see if that will temp a Marten back a bit more frequently. Jam Sandwich time.
